Puppies

Thank you for your interest in our puppies! Our goal is to raise happy, healthy, and sound labradoodle puppies with excellent temperaments. We do extensive health testing on all our breeding dogs. We try to produce puppies that will have excellent health, fantastic dispositions, and allergy friendly coats so that they can be wonderful family pets, service, or therapy dogs. Our puppies are born in our home and are very well socialized with friends and family. Most of our puppies meet around 75 different people prior to going home!

Please note that we do NOT ship our puppies. If you are not local, we can provide hand delivery for a $1000 fee or you can make arrangements to come pick up your puppy in person at our home or our local airport (MSP).

Blueberry Cottage reserves the right to retain puppies from each litter as breeding prospects.

  • Multigen Labradoodle puppies are $3,000.
  • Australian Labradoodle puppies are $3,000.

All puppies picked up at our home will also have WI sales tax of 5.5%. Credit cards accepted. If you are not able to pick-up your puppy within two days of the scheduled pick-up date, there will be an additional $50/day boarding fee. Or, they may be able to go to our trainer for boarding and basic skills training at $250-$550/week (minimum 2 weeks). Please inquire for availability.

If you are interested in a puppy, the first step is to fill out an application. We will be in touch with you to review your application over the phone.

After your application review and discussion and if we mutually decide to move forward, we require a $500 non-refundable deposit (plus sales tax) to reserve a spot on one of our upcoming litters. They are typically sold out months in advance of being born.

We have a master reservation list. This means we will no longer be putting families on individual litter lists prior to puppies being born. Instead, we will place everyone who has a paid deposit on one master reservation list.

Once a girl has her puppies, we will reach out to families on the master list in order of deposit received with details regarding the litter and should they choose, move them onto that litter’s reservation list. This ensures puppies are placed in the order deposits are received. This is a more exact process since once puppies are born we know how many there are verses estimating prior to delivery. Families on the master list may skip a litter if they prefer a different size or timing.

We will provide an estimate of timing when we first talk. However, this could adjust based on when we receive your deposit. Please keep in mind, timing for heat cycles and puppy delivery is up to Mother Nature.

You will receive updates through out the process…when the momma comes into season, when she is bred, when her pregnancy is confirmed via palpation or ultrasound, and when the puppies are born.

At seven weeks of age we will choose our breeding prospects and assign puppies to their new families. We ask families to send us their personal preferences by no later than 7 weeks so we may consider them. Assignments are based on temperament first and then family preferences.

All puppies are up to date on vaccinations, are microchipped, and vet checked prior to leaving for their forever families. They also have been introduced to crates (NOT crate trained) prior to going home to make the transition easier for everyone. They go to their new homes between 8-9 weeks of age.

Below is a list of the items that will come home with your puppy. We want your new puppy to bring you as much joy and happiness as they bring us.

  • 2 year genetic health guarantee
  • vet check up including a health certificate
  • current vaccinations and de-wormings
  • microchip with registration information
  • collar
  • puppy information on training, grooming, and socialization
  • samples of treats we love for our dogs
  • 4 generation pedigree

Please remember that we are a home based business and are unable to take visitors in our home. We do not have a large enough facility to accomadate puppy visitors or handle the interruptions to our home life and the care of our dogs and puppies.

Canine Parvo Virus, Distemper, and Canine Influenza are deadly communicable disease that are serious threat to young puppies that have not been fully vaccinated. The viruses can be transferred by hands, clothes, and even the soles of one’s shoes, without one knowing that they have been exposed. Therefore, we do not accept visitors to see the puppies. We realize and appreciate your interest in wanting to meet and get to know our wonderful dogs, but we ask for your understanding regarding our no visitation policy, for the overall safety and well-being of our puppies.

We look forward to meeting you on puppy pick up day!
